The first session is free, so you can see whether it's right for your child before paying anything. After that, the rules are the ones you'd expect from a dentist or a driving instructor — with a bit of slack for when life gets in the way.

Your first session is free
There is nothing to refund, because there is nothing to pay. Meet your tutor, see how your child gets on, and decide afterwards. You are under no obligation to book again.
More than 24 hours' notice — no charge
Cancel or move a paid session more than 24 hours before it starts and you won't be charged, or we'll reschedule it at no cost. You can do this from My Sessions or by messaging your tutor.
Less than 24 hours — charged, but the first one's on us
Late cancellations and no-shows are charged in full, because your tutor has held that hour and usually can't fill it. Life happens though, so we don't charge for the first late cancellation on a student's account.
If we cancel, you're refunded in full
If your tutor has to cancel, or a technical problem on our side stops the session going ahead, you aren't charged. We'll reschedule or refund in full, whichever you prefer.
Monthly plans
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance and you can cancel any time from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't refund unused time within a period except where the law requires it. If you're a consumer in the UK you may also have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription — see the Terms of Service for the detail.
Something went wrong?
If a session didn't go the way it should have, tell us. We're two tutors, not a call centre, and we'd rather hear about it and put it right than have you quietly stop booking. Get in touch.
This policy sits alongside your statutory rights as a consumer and doesn't replace them. Where anything here conflicts with those rights, your statutory rights come first.
