Living Things and Habitats
A habitat is the natural home of a plant or animal, providing food, water, and shelter.
Food chains
A simple food chain shows how energy passes between living things, e.g. grass → rabbit → fox. The arrow means "is eaten by".
Adaptations
Animals adapt to survive in their habitat — a polar bear's thick fur keeps it warm in the Arctic; a camel stores fat in its hump for the desert.
